I like these knives very much. They are sturdy and the blade guard have been plenty useful. I knocked off one star because they’re not very sharp; I still smush tomatoes. That can be remedied with a knife sharpener. Other than that I have no complaints!

For the price, I can’t complain. They are exactly as pictured, even with the carbon marbling on the blades. They come with sturdy black covers to protect yourself and the knife. They are not the sharpest knife I worked with, but they are sharp enough to cut through a very ripe tomato without damage, slice through raw chicken like butter, and chop a raw onion. Like all knives, I would highly suggest hand washing this set to prolong their lifespan. The balance point is near the base where the blade meets the handle, so it is a pretty balanced utensil. It is a plastic handle, so be careful to keep it away from heat sources like a stove top. I am pretty picky about my kitchen knives since dull/chipped knives are more dangerous than extremely sharp knives. These have been holding up to daily use and washing in a college apartment!
